Gastric Sleeve Surgery: Kathi's Success Story

In 2004 I was at the lowest point in my life, I had gained over 85 pounds,and I had lost my father to Alzheimer's after caring for him for 4 years. I was depressed and unhappy with myself and felt that I was at the point of no return on my weight. I began looking up information on the lap band and decided that it was my only option to help me get my life and weight back in control.

I had decided to go with Ready 4 a Change and get my life on track. I found that this was the best organization and had the best doctors in weight loss surgery.

I got the lap band in 2004 and lost 20 lbs the first month. I knew that I made the right choice! The band was my tool to help me live the life that I so longed for. After 6 months, I was down 60 pounds and shopping for new clothes I finally threw away all of my big clothes knowing I would never go back to a size 22! After a year I had lost all the weight I wanted. I had gotten down to a size 12 and maintained my weight for 4 years.

I had set a new goal for myself to be a size 8 for 2009. I contacted the Ready for a change group for a check up and a plan to have my band removed. I was now interested in the sleeve which is a permanent weight loss surgery.Since I had lost all the weigh I was going to lose and I was in excellent health, it was time for me to fulfill my goal and be the weight I always desired. I am now 140 pounds and am in perfect health. I eat healthy, exercise without pain, and I enjoy normal size portions of food. I have that sparkle and self confidence I thought I would never have. The helplessness I once felt is a faint memory of the past.
